In general, the load should not exceed 60% of the rated load of UI. In this range, the discharge current of the battery will not show excessive discharge. Because UI is connected with the city power for a long time, in the environment of high power supply quality and few power outage, the battery is in floating charge state for a long time, which will lead to the decline of the activity of battery chemical energy and electric energy conversion, accelerate aging and shorten the service life. Therefore, the battery should be fully discharged every 2-3 months. The discharge time can be determined according to the capacity and load of the battery. After a full load discharge, recharge for more than 8 hours according to the rules. After installing the corresponding software on the microcomputer, connecting UI through serial / parallel port, running the program, the computer can communicate with UI. Generally, it has the functions of information inquiry, parameter setting, punctuality setting, automatic shutdown and alarm. After information query, it can obtain the input voltage of mains power, output voltage of UI, load utilization rate, battery capacity utilization rate, internal temperature and mains frequency; after parameter setting, it can set UI basic characteristics, battery maintenance time and battery run out alarm, etc. After these intelligent operations, the use and management of UI power supply and its battery are greatly facilitated. The number of batteries equipped with large UI power supply usually ranges from 8 to 80, or even more. To meet the requirements of UI DC power supply, a single battery is connected to form a battery pack through a circuit. It is inevitable that the performance and quality of some batteries will decline and the storage capacity can not meet the requirements. Maintenance personnel should check and test each battery when one or more batteries in the battery pack are damaged, so as to eliminate the damaged batteries.
